YARA project
Founded in March 2022, the Yara project is a collaborative project empowering impoverished women and refugee women in Lebanon. Working with the young NGO group, Phoenicia Finesse, together we spread awareness of period poverty, earn money to purchase materials and hire local women to make the products, giving them work, and distribute these reusable feminine care kits to as many girls in need as possible and local NGOs for further distribution.
Since I started selling in October 2021 before the Yara Project, we have been able to provide winter jackets (Dec. 2021) and dental work (Feb. 2022) to a few refugee students here in Lebanon. Now, with Yara we have big plans to fight powerfully again period poverty.
